Over het initiatief / About the initiative

PULSE Sport

In welke fase zit jouw initiatief? / In what stage is your initiative?

Startupfase

Heb je jouw initiatief al gevalideerd? / Did you validate your initiative?

Our idea has been validated already. We have validated desirability and feasibility with Hundreds of athletes, coaches, experts and sports clubs. We have signed multiple B2B partners (sports organisations), currently have 80+ ambassador athletes. We have also recently closed our first funding round.

Meer informatie over jouw initiatief / More info about your initiative

PULSE is a start-up that aims to help athletes of all levels avoid over-training syndrome and maximize their performance by combining hardware and software. Our hardware is a set of sensors that track muscle fatigue, cardiovascular metrics, and GPS data. Our software tracks all aspects of mental and physical health, including sport-specific and non-sport-specific factors such as nutrition, sleep, mood, social relationships, depression, and anxiety. All this data is processed through our Machine Learning algorithm to provide athletes with personalized recommendations to avoid overtraining syndrome, improve recovery, stay mentally and physically healthy, and improve their performance.

Wat is er anders/nieuw aan jouw idee/oplossing t.o.v. bestaande oplossingen? / What is different/new about your idea/solution compared to existing solutions??

Our approach to athlete health and performance is unique because we track both physical and mental health factors, providing a comprehensive view of an athlete’s health status. Our Machine Learning algorithm allows us to provide personalized recommendations that are tailored to the specific needs of each athlete. Additionally, our dynamic model of athlete health and performance increases the accuracy of the data we collect and the recommendations we provide. Finally, the specific type of muscle fatigue sensors we use are not developed in the sports industry, but only in
the medical field.

Wat heb je nodig om (nog meer) impact te maken met dit initiatief? / What do you need to make (more) impact with this initiative?

To make even more impact, two things are needed at this moment:

1. Funding

We know exactly where we are going. Our product is halfway done (the software part), but to complete it, we need to develop the hardware part. This requires capital, as it implies more and more R&D. Receiving more funding would help us complete the development and test it further with users.

2. Ambassadors and Experts

To show people the impact of our product, we need to test it with athletes and sports organisations. This would help us increase traction and show that science can be applied in real life through a tangible product. More experts to receive feedback from would also be a big plus. in this case, it is all about increasing awareness of our solution.
