Post Quantum Short Messaging Service

In welke fase zit jouw initiatief? / In what stage is your initiative?

Uitgewerkt conceptfase

Heb je jouw initiatief al gevalideerd? / Did you validate your initiative?

Yes, i tested the software stack on two embedded devices.

Meer informatie over jouw initiatief / More info about your initiative

In a world where security for our data becomes more immanent with quantum computing on the horizon, the secure communications of all devices becomes a problem. Like the small devices locking a water gate or locking your home are as crucial as keeping defense communication secure. Together with Gemini Embedded Technologie, i developed a software stack that can encrypt data with a high Post Quantum Resilient safety standard called PQSMS.

Wat is er anders/nieuw aan jouw idee/oplossing t.o.v. bestaande oplossingen? / What is different/new about your idea/solution compared to existing solutions??

By combining several secure algorithms, and using the correct calculations, the speed and efficacy of the system can be brought down to a device that can run on a tiny battery for over 5 years. Apple already made their encryption stack, but that takes big servers to accomplish the same results.

Wat zijn jouw volgende stappen om het verder te ontwikkelen? / What are your next steps to develop the initiative?

The next steps are to make the project open source, so that everyone can make their embedded device more secure, and to broaden the knowledge to all students, as information security is an important factor of our current civilization.

Wat heb je nodig om (nog meer) impact te maken met dit initiatief? / What do you need to make (more) impact with this initiative?

Exposure, the more people that know what can be done with Post Quantum Cryptography, the better. Then people can build on top of the PQSMS stack in order to make it better. More information can be found on PQSMS.com in a short while.
