Ousia Skincare
Ousia aspires to create natural and sustainable skincare and encourage new generations to prioritize the well-being of both their skin and the planet starting from the Netherlands. The mission is to revolutionize the skincare industry by upcycling discarded flowers from botanical businesses and transforming them into premium natural products that make your skin bloom while protecting the environment.

The main reason for Ousia’s existence is to minimize waste in the tulip trade. This will be done by creating a skin-care product that uses extracts from tulips that would have gone to waste.

Wat is er anders/nieuw aan jouw idee/oplossing t.o.v. bestaande oplossingen? / What is different/new about your idea/solution compared to existing solutions??
Ousia only has one direct competitor, a skincare company that uses tulip extract in its products.
There are a few indirect competitors as many companies sell all-natural and anti-ageing face moisturizers. The direct competitor is Bloomeffects, a skincare brand that sells products like tulip extract. The other competitors are brands that produce natural, anti-aging creams.
The value proposition is that Ousia delivers premium skincare products while contributing to a more sustainable world (Circular Economy).
Wat zijn jouw volgende stappen om het verder te ontwikkelen? / What are your next steps to develop the initiative?
Apply for Dermatologically tested certification.

Strong online marketing and affiliate marketing will help increase the number of potential consumers of the product.
Ousia should develop a personal website and increase the number of posts on social media. The content should be focused on sustainability, stories about farmers, and the aspects of the product.
