Over het initiatief / About the initiative

In welke fase zit jouw initiatief? / In what stage is your initiative?

Uitgewerkt conceptfase

Heb je jouw initiatief al gevalideerd? / Did you validate your initiative?

Yes, we have partially validated our initiative. Firstly, we have participated in the TU/e Contest with positive feedback from automotive industry partners and potential customers. Secondly, we have validated our idea through word of mouth amongst track day participants. Our technical approach has been validated through working prototypes (actively progressing with the development).

Meer informatie over jouw initiatief / More info about your initiative

The automotive industry has a massive data accessibility problem – while modern vehicles collect hundreds of parameters constantly, 85% of this critical information remains locked away from owners and enthusiasts. This creates frustration and prevents informed decisions. Drivers can’t access metrics like real oil temperature, detailed engine performance, or battery health data that could prevent breakdowns and optimise performance.

Metrix solves this through our intelligent gauge ecosystem that combines custom hardware with AI-powered software. Our smart displays unlock hidden vehicle data and present it through intuitive interfaces, while our AI platform enables natural language interaction – users can simply ask “how’s my engine performing?” instead of interpreting complex readouts.

We’re targeting the European automotive enthusiast market (€2B+ annually in Germany alone) starting with track day participants and other vehicle enthusiasts . Our modular approach allows users to start with basic monitoring and expand into comprehensive vehicle intelligence as their needs grow.

Wat is er anders/nieuw aan jouw idee/oplossing t.o.v. bestaande oplossingen? / What is different/new about your idea/solution compared to existing solutions??

Metrix is the first automotive platform combining smart hardware with deep AI integration, transforming how drivers access and interact with vehicle data.

Key differentiators:

  • First automotive platform with deep AI integration and natural language interaction
  • Multi-display architecture allowing distributed information across multiple screens
  • Bridges the gap between complex vehicle systems and user accessibility
  • Privacy-first edge processing with optional cloud intelligence
  • Transforms reactive vehicle monitoring into proactive performance insights

Wat zijn jouw volgende stappen om het verder te ontwikkelen? / What are your next steps to develop the initiative?

  1. Complete prototype testing and finalise hardware design for production
  2. Develop AI processing pipeline for natural language vehicle interaction.
  3. Launch pilot program with track day enthusiasts for feedback.
  4. Prepare for market launch with initial production run and distribution strategy.

Wat heb je nodig om (nog meer) impact te maken met dit initiatief? / What do you need to make (more) impact with this initiative?

  • Funding for production scale-up: €25k-50k to move from prototypes to initial production run, covering tooling, inventory, and regulatory certifications needed for market entry.
  • Marketing expertise and industry connections: As engineering-focused founders, we need guidance on automotive market penetration strategies and connections to performance shops, track day organizers, and automotive influencers who can help us reach early adopters effectively.
  • Strategic mentorship: Experienced entrepreneurs who’ve scaled hardware products, particularly in automotive or adjacent industries, to help navigate manufacturing partnerships, distribution channels, and avoiding common scaling pitfalls.
  • Pilot program partnerships: Connections with track day organizations, tuning shops, or automotive retailers willing to test our products with their customers and provide real-world feedback before broader market launch.
