In welke fase zit jouw initiatief? / In what stage is your initiative?

Ideefase

Heb je jouw initiatief al gevalideerd? / Did you validate your initiative?

Currently I am investigating how can behavioral intent to use, affect acceptance of wearable health technology by elderly patients as my thesis topic. To further understand their attitudes towards technology as to be able to provide a service that is designed to meet their intentions and demands of telehealth from a cognitive, mobility and psychosocial view. It was discovered that the elderly do perceive the technology to be very useful but not easy to use , with other factors influencing their attitude towards use, such as technological anxiety.

Meer informatie over jouw initiatief / More info about your initiative

Elderly / Senior adults have the inconvenience of needing more occasional check ups/ hospital visits due to aging which is characterized by bio-physical changes that result in progressive loss of motor and sensory nerve systems functions. I intend to introduce a VR telehealth approach with a monthly and yearly subscription to facilitate the needs of the elderly. Different services such as consultations, rehabilitation and social interactions/activities  will be implemented.

Wat zijn jouw volgende stappen om het verder te ontwikkelen? / What are your next steps to develop the initiative?

To further develop the business, acquiring VR headsets and then programming these services for further validation and testing with active users.

Wat heb je nodig om (nog meer) impact te maken met dit initiatief? / What do you need to make (more) impact with this initiative?

To connect with GP’s and healthcare services so that they can introduce the service to their patients and support and improve elderly quality of life
